"Ashes is a fascinating read about two brothers, Jason and Tom Prendergast, who are forced to come together after the death of their father. It is an interesting read about family, forgiveness and healing."

"Jason is a Corrections Officer and Tom is a College Professor. Both men have tried to move beyond their troubled childhood. However, traces from the effects of the abuse are revealed once they embark upon this unwanted journey to fulfill their father's last request."

"Jason and Tom have their own preconceived views of each other. Old memories and old feelings are unearthed. During the duration of the trip they learn more about one another and discover they may have prejudged each other unfairly."

"Will these brothers be able to develop a mutual respect and build a bond that will allow them to move forward and have a closer relationship? Moving past the sins of their father will be the test."

"Steven Manchester, once again pens a thought provoking read that is enlightening and leaves a lasting impression on readers."
